  1. Creative financing is a must with the economy we have today. In our case, even more so. Too often we find ourselves seeming to walk a tightrope that, sadly, isn’t even there. I whole heartedly applaud your segmented saving. Also, great idea to be able to keep insurance (REALLY!) if possible. As to your previous lack of a strong immune system, think back on any diseases you might have had that could actually effect your immune system down the road. A couple of examples (not that you had them) aremononucleosis and/or Epstein-Barr virus or malaria. These are ALWAYS with you and impact your immune system the rest of your life. Good nutrition helps. Lots of sleep helps a LOT. That said, it’s still sometimes not enough to keep these diseases from rearing their ugly heads from time to time and eroding your immune system as well.

    • Insurance is one of the big things that Brianne works for. It is amazing how much it costs for a simple doctor visit for a little kid. I’ll be waiting to see what the doctor visit yesterday cost. I’ve never had any serious illnesses that I know of. I would always get sick after running myself into the ground. This year I am trying my best not to do that…easier said than done. Thanks for the feedback Ted!

  2. I am in the middle of reading What the Bible says about Healthy Eating. It has been thought provoking so far!

    • Sounds interesting Suzanne. I’ll have to swing by the library on the way home to see if they have a copy. I’m guessing it will fit in perfectly with some of our eating goals as a family. Thanks for the tip!

  3. Jon, it is great to hear how well you are doing not drinking the Dr. Pepper. I spent last week in Tn. settling Katie in a new apartment that needed help so we ended up eating out everyday which wasn’t good and although I drank unsweetened ice tea I used sugar substitute that I don’t think is good for me, but it is now a new day and thankfully I can start over. I hope you have a healthy family in a couple of days. Linda P.

    • Thanks for the encouragement Linda! It is amazing how changing a few things can make a big difference. I’m guessing you were hustling around so much helping get Katie set up that your body was still plenty happy. The best thing is what you told me in an earlier comment – don’t worry about what happened yesterday, today is a new day with the opportunity to do great things.
